After graduating the US Army Reserve's 91C LPN program and passing the LPN licensing exam, she began her nursing career by working in various Nursing Homes with the elderly population. She eventually transitioned to the hospital Telemetry/Cardiac (Heart) unit for several years and later transitioned again into Home Health Nursing. The Home Health sector afforded her the opportunity and flexibility to perform her parenting duties while simultaneously furthering her nursing education and earning a sustainable income. She earned her RN License in 2009 and continued to serve the Home Health Community for more than 20 years.
